DUSSC is The University of Dundee Ski & Snowboard Club, Dundee's largest and loudest sports club! We're a group of folk that love snow, and anything to do with it. Everybody is welcome from beginners who have never skied or snowboarded, to seasoned pros!
ABOUT US
The largest sports society at the University of Dundee, DUSSC provides access to not only one of the most exhilarating sports in the world, but also a huge new outgoing and diverse friend group. We run lessons for all levels, competition access, sensational socials as well as a dream trip to the Alps each season. Stop by our sponsor pub, The Tinsmith, on Thursday at 9pm to meet the gang and committee who are always happy to see a new face!
WHAT'S ON?
We strive to be one of the most innovative and thrilling clubs at the University of Dundee through our approach to providing skiing & boarding opportunities for our members, our wild socials and our unique holiday experience.
WINTER TRIP
Each year we run an awesome ski trip to the Alps which every year sells out to a massive group of the wildest and most adventurous group of Dundee students. Memories are made, then forgotten as a week of insane skiing in some of the best resorts in the world is combined with the maddest social events you can imagine. All in all an unreal experience that everyone should try at least once, if not once a year.
SKIING IN SCOTLAND
We provide access to skiing throughout the academic year to all abilities - seasoned pros to complete beginners. During semester one we run lessons in Edinburgh and Aberdeen on dry-slopes. Both facilities are great for honing racing and freestyle skills as well as simply snowploughing and learning the basics. Our competition team have the opportunity to represent the University from local to national level throughout the year. In the second semester, when snow allows, we aim to run weekly buses to Glenshee allowing our members to get on real snow.
SOCIALS
We are quite proud of our social following and if you have ever been on or heard of a DUSSC social, you are sure to know they are well recognised as unique. Always trying to push the boat with unique themes, venues and activities. Our social secs along with the rest of committee love the challenge of providing what often ends up being over 100 students a night they will remember for a very, very long time.
